Spudnut FAQs

Nope. We use wheat flour in our dough, so if you’re avoiding gluten, Spudnuts aren’t the way to go. We’d love to offer a gluten-free option, but making one that meets our standards (read: actually tastes good) isn’t as simple as swapping ingredients.

It’s the potatoes. Instead of just wheat flour, we use a special potato-based mix that gives our Spudnuts a light, fluffy texture and a rich flavor you don’t get with your standard doughnut. It’s the same recipe that’s been winning over taste buds since 1948.

Yes—but not in the way you might think. We don’t slice up potatoes and toss them in the dough. We use a proprietary potato-based flour blend that helps create that signature Spudnut texture.

Sorry, no. Our dough contains dairy, and some flavors use eggs, so they’re not vegan-friendly.

Nice try! While we can’t give away our secret recipe, we can tell you that we use high-quality ingredients and make our dough fresh daily. No shortcuts, no weird preservatives—just the good stuff that’s been keeping Spudnut fans happy for decades. 

Of course, if you have a specific food allergy, please check with a member of our staff so we can make sure Spudnuts are safe for you. 

Spudnuts are at their best the day you buy them—preferably within a few hours while they’re still warm. If you need to save them for later, an airtight container at room temperature is your best bet for up to a day.

Yes. Some items may contain common allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, milk, eggs, and wheat. If you have a severe allergy, we recommend checking with our staff before ordering—our kitchen is small, and cross-contact is possible.

You can, but we don’t necessarily recommend it. If you do, make sure they’re in an airtight container, and let them thaw at room temperature before eating. They’ll never be quite as good as fresh, though.

Yep! If you need a big order for a wedding, work event, or any kind of gathering, give us a heads-up in advance, and we’ll make sure you get what you need.

We don’t ship (trust us, they wouldn’t survive the trip well), but we do encourage road trips. Spudnuts are best enjoyed fresh, so we recommend making the trip and grabbing a dozen (or two) straight from the source.
